Your Windshield Is Important for your safety!
Your windshield is vital for more than just shielding you from wind, rain, and bugs. It’s a key part of your vehicle’s safety system, contributing up to 45% of the structural integrity in a frontal collision and up to 60% in a rollover. So, if your windshield fails, you could bear the brunt of over half the collision’s force!
Functions of your windshield:
It’s often overlooked that windshields are crucial for supporting a vehicle’s roof. Rollover collisions, known for their heightened fatality rates, underscore the importance of a robust windshield. A damaged windshield significantly increases the risk of collapse during a rollover, posing grave danger to both occupants and passengers.
The severity of a collision dictates the potential risk of passengers being ejected from the vehicle. Consider the airbags, seat belts, and windshield as the Critical Safety Feature Trio: airbags mitigate impact, seat belts deter ejection, and the windshield serves as a vital barrier to retain occupants within the vehicle.
Due to the forceful deployment of airbags, the windshield serves as a crucial backboard or backstop. Particularly for passenger-side airbags, the windshield facilitates an upward deployment, averting potential headfirst impact with the windshield during a collision. A cracked windshield significantly compromises its ability to withstand airbag deployment, potentially leading to improper deployment and escalating the risk of serious passenger injury.

Glass Replacement FAQ's
If you have comprehensive or complete coverage on your vehicle then your insurance company will take care of the bill for your windshield replacement and any windshield repairs. You’ll likely only be responsible for your insurance deductible, which is often less than the price of an entire replacement cost out of pocket.
A standard windshield replacement will take between 2-3 hours depending on the age and complexity of the vehicle.
Newer vehicles with ADAS will take approximately 4-5 hours depending on calibration type and the manufacture of the vehicle.
If your vehicle’s windshield has a crack longer than 5 inches then it’s safe to say a replacement will be needed. Another factor that will cause a windshield to need replacement is if your glass has a large amount of pitting or is damaged in any other way.
Absolutely! Without calibrating ADAS Systems, your car’s safety functions could fail, causing a collision.
ADAS calibration is necessary to ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of advanced driver assistance systems. It is a crucial step after repairs, replacements, software updates, and as part of routine maintenance to maintain the accuracy and functionality of these systems.
Depending on the Year, Make, Model, & Safety features can affect the price. To get an accurate cost give us a call at 719-339-4812 and we can give you a free quote over the phone.
We can order both OEE and OEM glass for your vehicle. Most customers choose to go with OEE glass because its quality is in line with OEM but has a less expensive cost, making it the most cost-effective option.
Some customers prefer OEM for the logo aesthetics and to keep their car’s original look and feel. If you do want OEM glass from the manufacturer we ask that you call and request it, and we can special order your glass.
